Most organisations know they have a communication problem.

And treat it like a people problem.

Most of the time, communication issues are not caused by a lack of skill. They are caused by systems, habits and expectations that have not been updated as the business has grown.

My work is designed to help you see the patterns clearly, name what is happening without blame, and build practical ways forward.

what's happening

Communication in most organisations grew by accident.

Around whoever speaks loudest. Around proximity. Around the gaps nobody has named yet.

For a while, that works. Then the team grows, the work gets more complex, and the load starts concentrating at the top. Decisions slow down. Meetings multiply. Capable people carry things they shouldn’t have to — and the things that actually need to be said stay unsaid.

It doesn’t feel like a design problem from the inside. It feels like a people problem — someone not communicating well, a team that needs training, a leader who needs to delegate better. So organisations invest in training. The skills land. People go back to the same environment. Nothing changes.

Decisions stall

Everything circles back to the leader. Not because the team can't think — because there's no designed way for decisions to move without her in the middle.

Meetings without outcomes

Time is spent. Decisions aren't made. People leave unclear on what was agreed, who owns what, or whether it matters.

Capacity is invisible

Nobody is saying what they're actually carrying. Requests come in without context. The load distributes unevenly and nobody has the language to name it.

The unsaid thing

Feedback that never comes when it counts. Disagreement that surfaces after the decision. Capacity conversations that happen in private, never in the room.

the program

Three months. Four phases. Built around what we find.

The structure is consistent across every engagement. What varies is what surfaces when we listen to your organisation. No two programs look identical — because no two organisations have the same gaps.

Phase 1: Listen

Before anything is designed or delivered, we find out what's actually happening. Conversations with your leadership team, a pulse survey across the organisation, and observation of how communication moves in practice. The right program cannot be built without this step.

Phase 2: Name it

A plain-language debrief with your leadership team. What's happening, why it's happening, and what it's costing. No jargon, no lengthy report. A shared picture and shared language for what needs to change — and agreement on where to start.

Phase 3: Build it

The program work, delivered across the remaining weeks. Workshops and team sessions scoped to what surfaced in the listening phase. Consistent focus areas across every engagement: how decisions get made and communicated, how capacity and expectations are named across the team, and how leaders communicate in ways that reduce rather than concentrate the load.

Phase 4: Hold it

A closing phase designed to make the changes stick. Leadership debrief, practical tools the team keeps using, and a clear picture of what to watch for as the organisation continues to grow.

The Team Communication System Reset is for organisations that are ready to move from insight into action.

Over the engagement, we redesign the communication practices that shape how work gets done.

Depending on what we find in the Health Check, this may include:

Clarifying decision ownership
Redesigning meeting rhythms
Creating better communication norms
Improving expectation-setting conversations
Making workload and capacity more visible
Building manager communication tools
Improving feedback and follow-through
Reducing unnecessary communication noise
Creating clearer pathways for escalation, priorities and change

This work is practical, collaborative and grounded in the reality of your team.

It is not generic communication training.

It is a tailored reset of the way communication works inside your organisation, so your team has more clarity, less drag and better ways to navigate the work ahead.
